Top 4 Ways I Stayed Dedicated to My Fitness Goals

For all those people who have just started their fitness journey, be mindful that there will come certain situations where you might lose hope or momentum. Don’t fret as you are not alone; it is something we all fitness enthusiasts go through. I know how challenging and hard it is to find motivation for heading out to the gym every day.

We are living in a world where life is hectic, and work hours are long. We have other obligations as well; all these things make you tired. At the end of the day, you just want to spend time relaxing or doing fun things.

When I started my fitness journey, I had a million excuses for not going to the gym. Initially, I had decided to visit the gym like 5 to 6 days a week. However, I failed miserably. The main reason was that it was never a priority. Always remember that to reach your fitness goals, you will have to take it seriously. And it can’t be done, if you aren’t serious about it.

In this post, I will talk about the things that helped stay motivated and dedicated to my fitness goals.

I Took Fitness Classes That I Enjoyed Going To

During my fitness journey, I realized that finding a place where you are comfortable has a vital role to play in your workout. This might be surprising, but if you are not comfortable in a place, you will not love going there every day. In this way, you will be less motivated.

Keep in mind that you should go to a place where you can enjoy the workout. A place where you can focus on yourself.

If you enjoy playing volleyball, go for it. In case you like to dance, go for a dancing class.

Set Clear Goals

Another tip that kept me dedicated was setting goals. This doesn’t mean that you should set a goal like losing 10 pounds in a week. Well, it is just impossible, and you will lose motivation when you can’t fulfill it.

So, you should start by setting simple and realistic goals. Once you accomplish simple goals, you can move onto complex ones. For instance, walking for 10 minutes 5 times a week is your short-term goal. Your little complex goal might be walking for 30 minutes. A long-term goal can be walking 5,000 miles in a day.

Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

Just imagine, you have been working out for a while now. A workout that you once considered as hard is easy now. It is time to reassess your routine. I recommend keeping things interesting and challenging. This means you should try different equipment. Or you can lift heavy weights or join another exercise class.

Don’t get stuck in your comfort zone! If you want to reach your fitness goal, you must keep challenging your body in unique ways. An easy way to do so is by changing your workout plan every week. In this way, you will get rid of boredom.
